About Us

Dan began growing an interest in photography when he bought his first Nikon DSLR in 2013.  Around the same time, Kim took a film photography class and fell in love buying a Canon DSLR herself.  When we met in 2016 one of the first things Dan said was that Kim needed to teach him a thing or two.  While that official lesson never happened we started dating and soon enough going on photo adventures together.

We both say the other one has more talent.  We're also both stubborn in sticking with Nikon and Canon, though we do wish we could swap lenses sometimes.  Everytime people see us together they comment on it.

While instagram is fun and all, we don't post nearly as many pictures as we take and wanted a space to put all our memories together, sharing them with everyone else.  After going back in forth on names for over a month we finally decided on These Trails We Travel.  And it'll be just that.  Sharing where we were, how we shot, both of our perspectives and views. Come along with us!
